Prof. Blaž Zupan, PhD

I am an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, where I lecture at several courses that deal with informatics, decision making, data mining, artificial intelligence and project management. My research interest are mainly in the fields of data mining, machine learing and data visualization, and application of these methods. My lab is particularly engaged in applying data mining mehtods in the fields such as biomedicine and functional genomics. I am co-author of a rather large open-source software Orange, which is an comprehensive data mining and machine learing suite featuring Python scripting and visual programming.
